Current Contemplations:

A photograph of the mountains at the entrance to Glen Etive in Scotland. As a child, Glen Etive was my favourite place in all the world. When we used to go there in the '70s, there were no other tourists (or photographers!!), there was no one else at all. There was just my family, in our tent, by the side of the loch. And it was paradise. It's now probably one of the most photographed places in Scotland, and there's even a car park!! But it's still the most beautiful place in the world! I used to love driving down this road, knowing that when we got to the end of it, the mountains would close up behind us, the glen would open before us, and it was as if the rest of the world didn't exist.
