…Through All Our Other Gifts

In a previous article, Finding The Flavour Of The Shadow Of Our Core Wound Gene Key, we introduced the concept that our Core Wound Gene Key is actually also the CORE of every other Gene Key in our charts. As I said in that article, for me this meant that you could look into the heart of each Gift in your chart and see the Gift of your Core Wound beating in time with it. In that first article we explored the Shadows. In this article, we would like to talk about our Gifts. For the Gifts, our Guide, Hayley Curtis, said that the unlocking of the deep essence of our Core Gift comes through all the other Gifts in our charts. This then adds the core missing piece to every single one of the Spheres in our charts.

Essentially, your Core Wound Gift comes to fill each sphere’s core, and then it can properly bloom. So, Meghan and I took this idea and went through each one of our Gene Keys, and asked ourselves … “How does my Core Wound Gift make this Gift bloom?”

I have Gene Key 31.6 here in my Core Wound … the Shadow of Arrogance, the Gift of Leadership, and the Siddhi of Humility.

Once again, I took to my journal and simply allowed the words and feelings to flow onto the page.

How Does Leadership Make Dynamism Bloom?

Dynamism is itself like a flower in full bloom, like a tree laden with fruit.

Dynamism is all life, rich, fertile life, that sparks with energy. Dynamism literally crackles with energy.

With Leadership at its core, all of that Dynamic energy has purpose. It’s not just full of the joy of creativity, and laughter, and love, and life; it’s full of a drive to do good, to bring all that creativity, laughter, love, and life to the collective.

This energy of Dynamism is the fuel for Liberation, and the Gift of Leadership takes that Liberation out into the world. Sure, it’s awesome to feel raw dynamic energy coursing through your veins, to feel your every in-breath as an infusion of pure energy, your every out-breath as a gale of joyous laughter.

But when you dive into Leadership inside this Dynamism, man alive, you cannot help but share it. You cannot help but inject enthusiasm into every conversation and every action. People get caught up in this Dynamism, not because you are arrogantly saying, “Follow me, I’m right, I know what’s good for you, I know what you should be doing.”

No! Dynamic Leadership simply IS. It is a ball of light that draws people to it like moths to a lantern. They want to experience your light. They want to sip the nectar of dynamic joy that exudes from you. They want to love life the way you do. And you don’t need to tell them to do anything, or who they should be, or how they should behave. They simply bask in the light of you being your natural self, and their own natural self is illuminated and set free.

How Does Leadership Make Perseverance Bloom?

Perseverance is the Warrior of Light. Perseverance fights for love. The thrill of fighting for a higher purpose fills you with the indomitable spirit of a true Warrior.

This Gift of Perseverance, for me, is like the chivalrous knights of old … Perseverance fights for the underdog, it fights for right, it fights for live, it fights for those who cannot fight for themselves.

Infuse this Warrior with a heart of Leadership, and you have an unstoppable force. You have a Warrior who can call people to her banner. You have a Warrior who doesn’t have to convince people that they should follow her; in fact, her Humility does not look for followers at all, not in the way people think of leaders and followers these days.

She is a leader who inspires others to fight for love, to fight for the underdog, because they know that it is simply the right thing to do.

They see this Warrior of Light not fighting for personal gain, but fighting because she wants to bring more love into the world. And they see the joy she finds in that, and they want to experience it too.

The Persevering Leader draws out the light in other people; lets them see themselves clad in the armour of light and love. She shows them how good it feels to care, to have compassion. But more than that, she shows them that it is right to care, it is right to have compassion, even in the face of the darkest forces in the world, even when it feels hopeless and they feel helpless, this Warrior of Light leads them on, one step at a time, one act of kindness at a time, one smile, one sigh, one deep breath.

Perseverance with a heart of Leadership is not drudgery, it’s a quest. And the going might be hard sometimes, but the rewards are worth it. Perseverance is not dogged determination, it’s lightness, it’s knowing that every step takes you closer to your source.

So why wouldn’t you keep going? Why wouldn’t you want to persevere? When there are so many treasures to find in doing the right thing.

How Does Leadership Make Authority Bloom?

Richard Rudd, creator of The Gene Keys, says, “If you have the 21st Gift in your profile and you speak and act from your heart, you will inspire loyalty in others wherever you go.”

True Authority unites.

Oh, were two Gene Keys more perfect a coupling as these two?

True Leadership is being your natural self. To be my natural self, I must allow my heart to come first and my mind to follow and serve the truth of my heart. What leader does not want to inspire loyalty? Surely it’s part of the job description!!

So, this marriage of Authority and Leadership is perfect. I can be the Author of my own life, and as long as I am being completely honest, as long as I am always speaking the truth from my heart, then the naturally leader sits easily in that heart.

This is not the arrogant Authority that tells people, “I am right, you must always follow me.” This Authority says, “Let me tell you the true story of my life”, and who allows people to really hear it, and to make their own choice.

And because people can feel the authenticity within my story, within my journey, they feel inspired to make a journey of their own Not to follow me and try to write chapters in my book, but to follow my example and follow their own heart into the heart of their own story.

Authority with Leadership at its heart is not looking to grow its number of followers. It’s looking for its followers to grow themselves.

Infusing Authority with Leadership could feel onerous, but it doesn’t.  For me, this is my higher service. To show that it is possible to write a new story, a true story. It is possible to follow your heart.

How Does Leadership Make Resourcefulness Bloom?

Richard Rudd calls this Gift of Resourcefulness “the light at the bottom of the well”, and it is all about trust. It is all about surrendering to the Void and trusting that the right answer will always emerge at the right time.

There is no arrogance in this Resourcefulness. It is not arrogantly saying that it knows everything. It is saying, I trust the fact that there is much unknown, and that out of the unknown will come what I need, when I need it. To infuse this with Leadership is to say, trust your heart! It is to say, I trust my heart and look at the treasures I have uncovered. It is to say, I trusted my heart when all was darkness and fear, yet look at the light and love that now blossoms in my life.

A resourceful leader must be courageous, they must walk their talk. There can be no flimflammery, no enticing words laced with control or manipulation. All that falls from their lips has to be true.

A Resourceful Leader has to be able to say, “I don’t know, and that is absolutely fine!” Leadership here calls for complete self-honesty and complete transparency. Having Leadership at the heart of Gene Key 48 means that when you are engulfed in fears of your own Inadequacy, you don’t hide that away; you don’t pretend that you’ve got it all together, so that people will think well of you and continue to follow you. No, instead you say, “I don’t know what to do, how to fix this, but I will sit here in the not-knowing, until the answer arises.”

And that honesty will make people trust you and want to follow your example. I think the greatest gift a Resourceful Leader can give her followers is the truth. And the truth is sometimes we simply don’t know the answer, and it is safe to be in the Void.

Showing people that the Void is not a black hole; it is a white hole, where their every treasure lives, if they are brave enough to dive in.

(When I reached this point of typing up my journal entries on the Gift of Leadership inside my other Gifts, I was writing about feminine leadership, and I made an interesting typo … leadHERship!!)

How Does Leadership Make Precision Bloom?

Richard says, “Precision happens when natural intelligence strikes a balance between the heart and the mind, but with one caveat – that the heart, the feminine principle, is given control over life.”

“Light is breaking through you, through your words.”

Now, I have read about Gene Key 62 many times. I’ve known for a long time that this is a pivotal key in my chart. How did I know it was so important?! Because that fucking Shadow of Intellect triggered me so much! In fact, Intellect and Arrogance are my two most triggering Shadows. The two I kept wishing weren’t in my chart.

They are of course Programming partners, this Attraction Gene Key of 62 and my Core Wound Gene Key of 31. When I have contemplated them over the last couple of years, I’ve been very focussed on those Shadows.

This time in the Core Wound, with the delicious new wisdom that Hayley shared, that my Core of Leadership is the very heart of my Gene Key 62 Precision, I am seeing Precision in a whole new light. Literally!! A whole new fucking light has dawned. I read that first sentence about the balance of heart and mind, and EVERYTHING just seemed to click into place. The focus ring spun around and suddenly the truth of this Gene Key became crystal clear! Of course Leadership is at the core of Precision, how could it not be?!

But it’s not the old traditional flavour of Leadership, the dictatorial, patriarchal, do-as-I-say-or-else Leadership! It’s feminine, it’s soft, it’s gentle. It’s the womb space inside my words that births truth. Feminine Leadership doesn’t bark orders and say, do it my way, because I’m your leader, ergo I am right!

No, feminine Leadership holds out her hand, or her arms, and says, “We’ll go TOGETHER. Oh, there is infinite gentleness and patience in this feminine heart of Leadership. She knows there is no rush. You cannot rush a word, a breakthrough, a story, an understanding, any more than you could rush a gestating child.

Creation takes time, understanding takes time, weaving the words of the story of our lives takes time.

There is no pressure in the feminine heart of Leadership here in Precision. It may be that some words, some stories, have to gestate deep in the darkness of people’s beings before they are ready to be spoken aloud.

The feminine Leader waits, she listens, she walks with her fractal on their spiral path back to themselves, and she trusts … herself, her fractal, life.

Between this Gene Key of Precision and the Authority I wrote about earlier, I am seeing Leadership in an entirely new way. A leader is not at the head, telling people what to do, a true leader is in the primordial soup of their fractal, swirling like one of the points in a Mandelbrot set, moving in and out and with the people they lead. A true leader is only a drop in the ocean of life. But a true leader is also a light source, helping people to find their way.

I have so many swirling patterns of light in my mind’s eye right now.

And they’re all feminine and pulsing with love and creativity.

How Does Leadership Make Discrimination Bloom?

Discrimination is the secret of high art. Richard says that “discrimination gives humanity a taste of a higher order operating behind the scenes of life.” Discrimination with Leadership at its Core is leading a purely authentic life. Authenticity is everything to this leader. And once again I can see where absolute honesty is required in order to be a discriminating leader. You have to call yourself out on your own bullshit first. You have to be scrupulously honest and authentic in everything you do, say and create. Only then, when you literally breathe and exude self-honesty, can you ever hope to become a leader for others.

Honesty and authenticity must be the very aura that surrounds you. Then, and only then, can you possibly ask or expect anyone to follow your leadership. And the thing is, if you come from a place of absolute self-honesty, you won’t need to ask people to follow you; they will be attracted to your essence. You will magnetise yourself with truth, and the right people will be drawn to you.

Oh, what a fucking awesome Gift to have in my Intelligence Quotient … the Gift of always saying the right thing at the right time. And of course sometimes that will look like not saying anything at all, but rather allowing your energy and your actions to speak for you.

This will be the ultimate leading by example. To Discriminate in every moment, what is needed to be said.

And again, just like my Gene Key 62 that came before in my chart, this IQ, which you would “think” is naturally masculine in nature also gets to lead with the feminine.

Authenticity is not discerned with the mind, it is felt with the heart.

How Does Leadership Make Imagination Bloom?

“The Art of Life”. All life is programmed to grow and evolve, that is something I have learned over and over in this Gene Keys journey. What this Gift of Imagination gives me is the understanding that it is out of this innate urge to grow and evolve that all true creativity is born. Simply allowing myself to evolve naturally unleashes my imagination.

My imagination is boundless, limitless. I can be anyone, do anything. In my internal world there are no limitations; it is the field of pure potentiality and it lives in me … my life gets to be a true work of art (one of my favourite things that Richard says about any of my Gene Keys!).

So, with Leadership at the heart of this limitless imagination, there is nothing I cannot do to make the world a better place. Just by imagining a world without hunger, war, dictators, is to bring the energy into the field.

I will not be downtrodden by the atrocities of the world, not when I have this infinite imagination inside me.

And how can I use this for good, how can I be a Leader in this? By walking my talk, by living life from a place of pure joy, pure love, and showing other people that this is available to them too. I cannot give them the answers, I cannot solve the world’s problems, but I can give hope on dark days, I can give joy in times of sadness.

I can show people that inside their hearts is a limitless world, where their imagination is queen, and they can imagine their own perfect world.

By talking about my field of pure potentiality, I can show other people that it lives in them too.

Joy is contagious. Imagination can be too.

I can say, over and over, imagine yourself in your perfect world, and as people do that, as they drop inside and see that their internal world is lush and abundant, so their energy lifts, and it cannot help but wash out into the world. It cannot help but overflow with goodness that will help those around them.

There is a little bit of mischievous trickery here … my Imaginative Leader is asking people to create their perfect inner world, knowing full well that as within so without! Knowing that encouraging people to “go inside”, I am simultaneously and subliminally inviting them to let their internal delight overflow on the world around them! Thus I create a better world simply by showing people that they are their own work of art.

How Does Leadership Make Freedom Bloom?

Richard says, “When a person is freed from the Shadow state, they become a creative conduit for life itself.” And, “As your awareness stretches, the spirit of freedom breaks down the barriers in your life.”

And boom! There it is! How I bring Leadership into this Gift of Freedom. And once again, it all comes back to being my natural self, my true, authentic self. Because she is free. She has shaken off the shackles of victimhood, and she is frolicking in the meadow of her life. She’s got flowers in her hair and garlands of them around her neck. She runs. She dances. And she sings her freedom to the sky for all to hear. She leads people, like a benevolent Pied piper, not into a dark, scary cave, but into the wildflower meadows of their souls and hearts.

I can do this by sharing my voice  over and over again, by singing my story out, by showing that it is not only possible to overcome suffering, but that suffering is the path to grace. That they are safe to feel all of their pain, because the reward is an awareness of themselves that sets them free from their suffering.

And I can do this with complete honesty. I can share the pain of loss and the trauma of suffering. I can show that it hasn’t defined me. It has set me free to be the woman I was born to be. It has set me free to become that creative conduit for life itself.
