At the beginning of 2026 I thought it would be fun and interesting to work with one animal from each Dream Arc category for the whole year. I had done it with great success for my 40 day spiritual journey in late 2025. Why not I thought? You can see the animals I came up with in the header image along with my three words for the year (here’s my article about it).

I was ready for interactions with these fine creatures and inspiration and calls for action etc. etc. And…. nothing. I pushed a little and started a few artistic projects with the Puffin and the Peacock and they pretty much fell flat. I think I’ve made it far enough into the year to call this idea a bust. I’m ready to let it go.

Not only have none of these animals connected with me but I feel like they are in the way of other natural connections. I had a beautiful intuitive flow with the Dream Arc before I tried this.

This post is helping me to release an experiment that isn’t working. I’m taking down the image (above) from my bulletin board. I am going to replace it with my new portrait portal project.

The only animal that is staying for the time being is my Guardian, the Emu. I am leaning into the physicality of my Life’s Work vision bird (Vision of Grounded Majesty) during the Sage’s Golden Path retreat with its somatic nature.

I am wondering if I need to do a cleansing or a renewal of my commitment to Emu to wipe the slate clean for other animal guides to find me once again. I’m not sure if I want to take a trip around the Dream Arc course again or simply go with guidance that shows up. But I do want to let go of the static energy of the ones I trapped and allow the flow of natural guidance to show up. I think we are all transforming at fast speeds and what was right in January is no longer right! I bow to being intuitive enough to honor what is NOW.

Here is the new image for my bulletin board and wallpaper on my tablet. The circles will be filled each time I get a new Sage line word and make a portrait. You can see my Emu and then (clockwise) my Life’s Work, Evo and Radiance. The Phoenix guides the vision statement in the middle.

I’ll keep you posted with my progress as I reset my commitment to the Dream Arc and it finds a new way to interact with me.
