Congratulations! We celebrate you for answering the call to open this article and investigate the tug of your heart. In some small or big way you are remembering your genius!
A funny thing happened on the way to this article. Lizzie and I had completed it and it was in draft form on our website by the 9th of October. Then on October 10th, it totally disappeared. It was as if the website itself had forgotten. Had I made an offline backup? No. Will I do so now? Yes. Did we remember what we had written in the article? Some, but certainly not all. It was such a funny example of the concept of forgetting that honestly all we could do was laugh. And rewrite. Enjoy our rewritten article!
Lizzie and I are offering you two questions on a Monday to set you up for the month to come with Bite-Sized invitations towards transformation. The subject? Forgetting and Remembering!
If you want to play along, what might you do to remember the question or questions in some way? Contemplating while doodling, journaling, arting something, reading this post again are all valid. Even just copying one of our journal prompts down and pondering it over time by journaling or discussion or even a walking meditation is enough to bring your mind into resonance with the archetypal energy of forgetting and remembering (who you are.)
YOU ARE NOT ALONE, we are here to support and make space for each other to shine. Remember that!

As with all our inner work, remember to be gentle and patient with yourself as you ponder these thoughts. If you want to print out the images, get a screenshot if you are on a device, or right click and copy then paste into a word document.

Some journaling or contemplation prompts:
- Put on your objective hat this month and pick ONE THING you are forgetting the most. (Your worth? Boundaries? Compassion to self and others? Intentions? Something else?) Do a deep dive and sit with it. Collect quotes, find a striking image to remind you, make a ritual, make some art, write a prayer. Find ways to bring it so much into your consciousness that it will be hard to forget. Yet when you do forget, forgive. Weave it into your lifestyle.
- Take some time to look around you at some of your favorite friends and even frenemies. What do you imagine they are forgetting? Do you know someone so timid they hide behind their hair? Have they forgotten their worth? What about the angry friend, is he forgetting his compassion? Where might you find forgiveness instead of blame? Do you have a different view of your own self now?
- What small ritual could you bring into your morning routine to help you to remember that you are worthy just the way you are? It could be as simple as writing an affirmation at the top of your journal.
- Can you remember a time, when you were really young, when you felt really happy? Conjure it up. Write as much detail as you can in your journal. What could you smell, hear, see? Were you out in nature or in a favourite room? What token or talisman could you find to place on your altar or your desk or your bedside table, that will remind you of that time, and take your body back into the remembrance of the joy?
- Can you remember your last “aha” moment, when you realised something significant about yourself? Write it down, distill it down into a mantra you can repeat to yourself. Mine is pinned on my bulletin board … “May I remember how to breathe again in my natural rhythm.”
We both highly recommend playing with the timed pauses in the free Triple Flame app. You can set them up to come at any time you want. However, most of us choose every three hours during waking hours. As you can see in the image you can choose to listen to a guided pause, silent, music or even Om chanting. And you can time it or simply let your phone (or your Apple Watch) remind you to pause for a simple breathing timeout from your day. It is amazing how this helps us remember to come back to what is important in our lives and helps us course correct if we are out of equilibrium.

Patience with oneself is important when learning to remember our own genius. If you want any help with being Patient with yourself as you do the inner work get some hints from this article by Lizzie.

For our Harry Potter friends, do you remember that Neville was given a Remembrall in one of the books/movies? It was a magical device to let him know he had forgotten something. Unfortunately it never told him what he’d forgotten. If you had a magical device that helped you know you had forgotten the important things and helped you remember, what would it look like and how would it work? Let us know in the comments!

You hold in your hand an invitation: to remember the transforming power of forgiveness and loving kindness. To remember that no matter where you are and what you face, within your heart peace is possible.

The more I wrote, the more I remembered. The more I remembered, the more I returned to myself.

The only two things you need to remember consistently are to follow the purity of your heart and to keep bringing awareness into all aspects of your life.

This music might be an invitation to a new ritual you could bring into your life to invite in some core stability and remembrance of your loving kindness and essential goodness.
