We are offering you a question today to set you up for the month to come with Bite-Sized invitations towards transformation. The subject for December is Trust.

This time of year, with the Christmas holidays on the way, can be really stressful for a lot of people. Yes, it’s supposed to be a time of celebration and togetherness, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy, that doesn’t mean that it’s not messy and difficult.

For some people, there are no family gatherings, no celebrations with friends, and it can be a very lonely time of year.

For others, it is the very fact that there are family gatherings and social events to go to that is the source of the stress. Family tensions are rife; stressors like lack of money, or other people’s expectations, can push us to the edge. Nerves are frayed and frazzled. It can be a really hard season.

One of the things that the Gene Keys teach us is to trust … to trust what life brings us, to trust that relationships and external situations do hold lessons for us. This is not to resignedly shrug our shoulders and say, everything happens for a reason, so I’d better just accept it. No, no; this is more that you trust life … you trust that life brings you the things that you need to work through, in order to learn the lessons you are here to learn, in order to grow into the person you were born to be.

And when you trust in life in that way, then there is no flavour of resignation to it. You are open, you are welcoming in life and saying, in each and every situation, what is in this for me to learn? Even if it’s hard or painful or uncomfortable, if we can just trust enough to open our hearts and our minds to the spark of wisdom or understanding that might lie beneath the provocations, then even the hard, painful and uncomfortable things can be borne, and can become the portals into transformation.

I think that’s one of the most glorious things that the Gene Keys teach us … that there is something in every situation and every circumstance for you, if you look for it. It doesn’t mean it’s a fait accompli, and you have no control over your life. It’s more that even in the direst situations, you can choose how you look at them, how you respond to them, what your attitude will be in that moment of stress or tension. And you can trust that you can look at any situation life brings you in a way that will help you to grow.

Some journaling or contemplation prompts to ponder this month:

For the holiday season, the free Triple Flame app is a quick way you can bring in kind and gentle pauses to your life. The Journey section is full of sweet ways to bring peace into a hectic time. The Soft Heart Open Mind for even just 3 minutes will open you to the true love of this season (Soft Heart is in the Guided Section as 3, 5 and 10 minute times). And the Heart of Peace can calm a troubled emotional situation you might find yourself in.

For Lizzie, “trust” was the key insight in so many of her Gene Keys Gifts. She is almost at the end of her second time through her whole Golden Path, and again and again on this voyage of self-discovery, she has come to see that there are two sister themes that run through her entire chart … Love and Trust.

Meghan trusted her heart and the call of the Robin in the Dream Arc and is in the middle of a 40 day spiritual journey with Saint Teresa of Ávila. It is a profound thing to trust the nudges of your heart. You can find the parts of the journey she is sharing here.

Two crones taking you on contemplative journeys with laughter and play. We are A Cauldron of Crones, two women in our 60s who have discovered the joy of finding friendship later in life. We are embracing our creative expression in a way we never have before. We write inspirational articles, go deep with tears and laughter in our podcasts and share our lives as art. We have been doing the inner work for many decades, with diverse teachers, and are now deeply connected to the Gene Keys. In our 60s we are remembering and rediscovering how much fun it is to play … with words, with images, with our voices, with our art. But don’t be fooled by our ages into thinking that we are only crones because of those numbers attached to our identities. We are crones because we are learning to see further. We are crones because we are embracing life and creativity. We welcome community of all ages! A Cauldron of Crones Welcome to our transformational space, where we come home to our heart.
