Hello my friends and welcome to Series 2 Episode 5 of Conversations With A Couple Of Crones.

First, I must apologise for the sound on my side … my internet was a bit juddery, so the sound when I’m talking is not terribly clear … I hope that you’ll be able to hear me okay!

We started out on this Conversation with our usual first question to ourselves …

Where am I now?

I talk about my holidays (yay! I’m off to Devon this weekend … three days of beach life!). I also talk about how I’m deep in the Radiance Gene Key with the Sage’s Golden Path Retreat right now, and I’m really diving into and embracing my Line 3 energy.

You’ll hear Meghan talk about her exciting new project … an art journaling class for Gene Keys Unleashed, which combines the self-inquiry of the Gene Keys and a somatic art experience … asking questions and arting questions! I am so excited to get started on this! This will be an exclusive experience for the GKU membership, so if you want to take part, you’ll have to join us there (you’ll love it!!).

Working With Our Shadows

It’s been a while since we answered a question from the beautiful Gene Keys Unleashed with Hayley Curtis community, so this week we’re asking ourselves a brilliant question from our friend, Lizzie Pickles

I’m not going to tell you what we talked about! This was such a juicy question to dive into, and you’re just going to have to listen to find out how our work with our Shadows has evolved over the last few years! 🤗❤️‍🔥 Thank you for such a great question, Lizzie!

Oh! Okay! One little spoiler 😂 … the Shadow contains the Gift, and the Shadow is not to be feared! We’re not doing this work to fix or get rid of our Shadows, we are working to understand them, to sit with them, and to move through them.

Acceptance

Meghan and I talk every single day, and for the last couple of weeks, the concept of “acceptance” has woven through many of our conversations. Acceptance is one of the tenets of the Gene Keys work, especially as part of the Art of Contemplation, which teaches us to allow, accept and embrace.

I also have Acceptance in my own Gene Keys chart, so it is extremely important to me. I have found that the deeper I go into this Gene Keys work, then the more important it is for me to accept what is.

We have both been talking a lot about accepting our ageing bodies, accepting the circumstances we find ourselves in, accepting our tiredness, and we had thought that it would make a great topic to talk about in one of these podcasts.

And this week is the perfect time to be having this conversation, because we are in the Pulse of Gene Key 25, with its beautiful Gift of Acceptance.

Meghan shared some of her beautiful Sage words and sutras … her Radiance Sage word is “irreverence” and it is basically telling you that you have to accept all parts of yourself … angels and demons, saints and sinners.

Acceptance is a HUGE subject, and I have a feeling that we will end up talking about it again and again, both just between ourselves and in these podcasts!

And of course, we ended with our Whimsical questions to each other, both of which tied in perfectly with what we’d been talking about … now, where am I going to find a cloak?! 😂

(The image at the head of this post is Meghan’s “irreverence” portrait that we talked about!)

I really hope that you will love listening to the conversation as much as we loved having it!

Self-acceptance is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, and I hope that our conversation might open you up to a little more of that self-accepting energy.

If you have any questions for us about Acceptance, or if there’s anything that you’d like to hear us talk about in future Conversations, we’d love to hear from you in the comments!

Until next time!
