Hello dear friends. Now, you should know, this website is our baby. We conceived her together; we created and gestated her together. This is our home and our hearth on the internet. This is our creation space, our transformation crucible. This is our heart.

So, naturally, choosing just when to birth this creation was super important to us.

Meghan and I are currently working inside a year-long group container called Devoted, where we are travelling through our entire Gene Keys Golden Path. When we were trying to decide on a date to launch our website into the world, at first, we thought we would do it when we moved into our Culture sphere.

The Sphere of your Culture opens or closes you to calling in and building your ‘fractal line’ – the group of like-minded, open-hearted companions and allies who will aid you in fulfilling your external purpose in the world.

Sounds perfect for the launch of website which we hope will attract like-minded, like-hearted women (or men!), right?!

But then, when we were trying to fix on an actual birth date, we thought we’d look at the Gene Keys Pulse keys that were going to be present during our month in the Culture sphere.

The Pulse is a way to contemplate the Gene Keys as we move through the seasons and cycles of the year.  The Gene Keys Pulse tracks the current global theme through the position of the Sun as it moves through each of the 64 Gene Keys within the year. Approximately every 5 and a half days, the Sun travels through each of the six-line permutations of a Gene Key before changing to the next hexagram in sequence.

Finding Balance in the Cauldron

But here’s the thing … when we looked at the calendar for the Pulse Gene Keys, the one that really jumped out at both of us was the Pulse Gene Key for the week immediately preceding us entering our Culture sphere, the one that would mark the end of our Vocation sphere and stepping onto the Pathway of Initiative … Gene Key 50.

This Gene Key is the Shadow of Corruption, the Gift of Equilibrium, and the Siddhi of Harmony …

Meghan has 50.6 in her IQ, so she is intimate with this Gene Key.

Equilibrium and Harmony

Equilibrium and Harmony … I cannot think of anything more perfect for the launch energy of our website. For me, this entire creative project was born out of the harmony of our relationship. I feel as if Meghan, who is the best friend I have ever had, is so in accord with me; I feel as if we sing the same song.

I’ve been looking at lots of definitions for Equilibrium and Harmony (as you do, when you’re a dictionary freak!). I particularly like the definition of harmony that says it is an interweaving of different accounts into a single narrative! Rather perfect for a website that is bringing together the inner work and creative expression of two different women, who are walking the same path.

The Shadow of Corruption

But before I write more about why I am loving the energy of Equilibrium and Harmony, I want to just say a little about my understanding of this Shadow of Corruption. Don’t worry! It’s not as bad as it sounds! Richard Rudd talks about this Gene Key in terms of data corruption … “the internal corruption of your mind through fear”. He says that we must tackle the habits that create corruption in our aura slowly, with commitment and perseverance, “ushering them gently into equilibrium instead of trying to force them”.

This Shadow invites us into slow, gentle work, and that fits perfectly with the ethos of this site that we are building. This is our “mansion of many rooms”, as Meghan described it to me, and you don’t build a mansion in a day. It takes time, it is slow, gentle work, this building of a home.

And A Cauldron of Crones is our home on the internet. It’s where we want to weed out our own corrupted data and help our readers/listeners/watchers (for we write, record and film ourselves!) to spot their own corrupted patterns, and hopefully find a way to bring more equilibrium into their lives.

So, Back to the Gift of Equilibrium

In the Gene Keys, this Gift of Equilibrium requires honesty, and that feels like the perfect way to start this journey of A Cauldron of Crones. Something I strive for in all of my inner work is honesty, radical self-honesty … to face my shadows, to admit to my wounding patterns, to accept responsibility for my part, for my dharma. The articles I write here, the conversations I have with Meghan on our Podcasts, the stories I share … they must all be honest, they must all be the truth of my heart and my soul, or there is absolutely no point in writing them. I am doing this inner work so that I might know myself and understand myself. And to do that, I simply must be honest, no hidden agendas, no pretending to be something I am not.

Finding my internal equilibrium can only come from that radical self-honesty, it can only come from speaking my truth.

It’s Not All Serious Though

This all sounds pretty serious, and while Meghan and I are extremely serious about this work that we are doing, we actually conceived of and created this website with a sense of high play in mind. It was after all conceived of when we were in our SQ sphere … and that is all about play, it is all about the innocent, inner child energy of play and curiosity.

So, when I read this about Gene Key 50, this was when I knew without a doubt that we had chosen the right time to launch our website …

The mantra of this Gene Key is don’t be extreme. Be playful and disciplined. Be open and soft. Be balanced and let the music of life dance through you. Let life live itself beautifully through your life. Cultivate awe and cultivate peacefulness.

And It’s Self-Organising to Boot!

The other perfect thing about Gene Key 50 lies in the fact that “True equilibrium and teamwork is always a self-organising phenomenon” … Boom!! 🤯

The definition of self-organising is “the spontaneous emergence of order or patterns within a complex system without external control, as a result of the interactions among its components”. The important part of that, for me, is that the self-organising happens as a result of the interactions among the components … Meghan and I are the components. This website is a physical manifestation of the self-organisation of our friendship, our partnership.

We have co-created this with our inner work, with the Gene Keys, and with life itself.

I feel as if A Cauldron of Crones is a living entity, which Meghan and I feed with our ideas and our creativity, and which, I hope, will sustain others as much as it nourishes us.
