Lizzie and I want to introduce a new Cauldron of Crones offering in our quest to make inner transformation and finding our higher purpose easier and more commonsensical. This offering will come out on a Monday as a way to inspire your upcoming month. Each month we’ll offer you, our readers, a concept or question (or two) to bring into your consciousness for awhile.

This series of posts will have multiple layers.

  • The concept itself will be a universal “human being human” idea that anyone can contemplate without any further instructions or explanations. It is the “bite-sized” part. It will be in the form of a visual that you can (hopefully) copy to put on your phone or bulletin board as a daily reminder.
  • The next layer will be a prompt or three if you want to journal or contemplate or need a way to get a little deeper.
  • The next layer might be a few links or quotes to go deeper into that concept through other people’s voices or our own articles or videos. These links might be Gene Keys related, but still have universal themes (the first few layers have no Gene Keys geekery).
  • The last layer is a super secret password to another post for any Gene Keys geeks we might have in our audience who want to read the information behind the general prompt and learn which Gene Key or Line we are taking this from and maybe even stories from our own experience.

Here’s a fun example!

Where can I add elements of whimsy to my life?

In our example here this would be the question to ask yourself all month. This is the Bite-Sized bit. The Bravery part comes in when you go beyond the superficial and truly get honest with yourself about some of your deeper, possibly troubling issues. Let’s face it, you are the safest person to be honest with (even if you have a fierce inner critical voice) and you don’t have to share your answers with anyone. A little bit of self honesty can shed light on an otherwise dark place in your heart. Believe me, your heart wants illumination.

As with all our inner work, remember to be gentle and patient with yourself as you ponder this thought. (If you want to print out the image, get a screenshot if you are on a device, or right click and copy then paste into a word document.)

Some journaling or contemplation prompts:

  • When was the last time you felt whimsical and did you like it?
  • If you are not a whimsical person do you wish you were? Or are you too whimsical and not grounded enough in your life?
  • Did you ever get in trouble or feel judged for being whimsical in the past?
  • Are you able to say “no” to the whimsy police that stop you from expressing this playful trait?

If you want any help with being Gentle or Patient with yourself as you do the inner work get some hints from these articles by Lizzie. If you just feel like playing join Meghan’s art process video, I Celebrate.

You must not ever stop being whimsical. And you must not, ever, give anyone else the responsibility for your life.
Mary Oliver
Moments of whimsy make us laugh; surprise us where we expect the ordinary; add a humorous touch to reminders, rules, and reprimands; and show us that life doesn't always have to be serious.
Gretchen Rubin

You have reached the super secret part. We didn’t want to over inform our reading friends who are not into the Gene Keys, so left most of this post general and universal.

For those of you who wish to know the Gene Keys magic behind this question, we have a special post just for you…. simply click on the image and use the password…. shhhh….. LOVE (case sensitive).

Although contemplation of your own inner life is a solitary journey, it can be helpful to share thoughts with fellow travelers. Please always feel free to share your resistance, insights or questions in the comments.
