Working with the Gene Keys

We have both been seekers for many years, both trying many different modalities to deepen our inner work and our personal growth. For both of us, working with the Gene Keys has fundamentally shifted our attitudes … to ourselves, to this inner work, and to the whole big, beautiful world.

Travelling with the Gene Keys we have had some incredible breakthroughs; we have shifted massive obstacles and let go of some heavy shit. But the Gene Keys are not a quick-fix. You can’t just look at all of your Gene Keys once and hey presto! You’re a new woman! No, this is a life-long journey we are on.

Doing the Inner Work

Commitment and devotion energy are essential when journeying deeply into yourself. They are the essence of the inner work.

If we are not committed and devoted to going ever deeper and deeper, then we are not really doing the inner work. We are scratching the surface; and we’re not going to find any answers on the surface.
The inner work requires commitment because you need to keep coming back to that well and diving a little deeper each time; you need to keep showing up; you need to keep practicing your dives, or you’re always just going to be paddling at the surface, and you’re going to miss so much.
Devotion means that you keep showing up, but it means even more. Devotion is about love; Devotion is about surrendering yourself to the dive.
Devotion knows that you are safe to dive into these deep layers of self you are uncovering; Devotion knows that this is the only thing you CAN do … that is how it is for us.
We Crones are devoted to this inner work because we know it’s what we are meant to be doing. We are exactly where we’re meant to be … leaping into the void and knowing we are safe, and we are free. Are You an Artist Who Dabbles in the Inner Work?

When we deny our desires and our need to be creative, we are denying our very essence. If you are a creative, an artist, then you know this to be true. When we combine our creativity with doing the inner work, then magic happens.

If we can accept that by simply being our natural self, then we are in fact fulfilling our purpose in life, which is always to play OUR piece in the collective puzzle of life.

And a glorious thing happens when you let go of all the doing and bring your focus to simply being … you find that a great space opens up inside you. Space where you can breathe without restriction, space where you can feel gratitude for simply being alive.

And that space is not empty nothingness. It is the fertile ground where your gifts can grow. It’s the field of pure potentiality where the person you were born to be can take root and grow and blossom. It’s the field of miracles and magic, where your creativity can flourish, where you can find out all these incredible things about yourself. Then, from this spaciousness, from this fertile earth, can grow purpose. It comes naturally, because it comes from deep inside you. It has sunk its roots deep into your fertile soil of being, so that your “doing” in the world blossoms like a flower, like the tiny blossom on the huge tree, it’s just one small part of who you are. Your purpose is to BE YOU. And from you will grow all manner of fruits and flowers in the world. You will become your own greatest work of art.

The creative process is a dance along the banks of the unknown; therefore it is a natural outlet for an unknown inner process that cannot be helped by thinking, or through any outer guidance. All works of genius emerge in spite of the mind, though they may be expressed through the mind. - Richard Rudd
