An Attraction Sphere reflection on health, support, and the body’s sovereignty

This week, I’m going to see a naturopathic physician.

On the surface, that sounds like a health appointment. Which it is. I’m going because I want help fine-tuning my physical body, my food choices, my aging process, and my relationship with the body I live in every day.

Because this appointment is happening while I’m moving through my Attraction Sphere*, I can’t help but notice the timing. This support has been drawn into my field right now, bringing a practitioner, a new kind of listening, and a chance to let my body be witnessed by someone who works with the whole person rather than one isolated symptom.

At first, I assumed this belonged mostly to my Radiance Sphere*. Radiance is where this work becomes physical for me: health, vitality, intuition, the rhythm of my actual body, and the light that either dims or starts moving through me more freely.

So yes, a homeopathic appointment clearly belongs to Radiance.

But Attraction is what brings things close.

And Attraction isn’t only about romance, chemistry, or the people who cross my path. It’s about what life draws toward me and what wakes up when it arrives. Sometimes what comes close is a person, a dynamic, a longing, an interruption, or a creative nudge. And sometimes, apparently, it’s a physician.

This week, what is arriving is support.

Not support in a vague, inspirational way, but support with an appointment time, questions, symptoms, remedies, and the possibility of being seen more clearly. My Attraction Sphere seems to be bringing my Radiance Sphere a conversation partner.

That feels like more than scheduling.

And underneath that timing, one Gene Key 45 thread keeps tugging at me (45 is my Attraction key).

The fear of being ruled can make me reject authority or guidance, even when support is what I actually need. It can make guidance feel like domination, especially when power-over has been painful before.

I know this pattern in my body. I can be very open to wisdom, insight, patterns, inner maps, and guidance. I can also feel resistance when guidance starts to sound like authority, and authority starts to feel like someone else deciding what is true for me.

This makes the appointment feel less like a simple health errand and more like a small doorway. I’m not just receiving information about my body. I’m walking into a relationship with expertise, bringing my questions, history, symptoms, habits, skepticism, hope, and the part of me that wants help but does not want to be handled.

This is where Regency gives me a distinction I really need (Regency is my Sage word for 45.5).

Guidance is not domination. Receiving support is not surrender.

A physician can have real knowledge without becoming the ruler of my body. A remedy can be helpful without becoming law. A recommendation can give direction without replacing my inner authority. I can listen carefully without disappearing.

This feels especially tender because one of the relationships I most want to mend is the one with my own body.

I’ve spent much of my life in a complicated relationship with food and my physical form. I don’t want this piece to become a detailed story about disordered eating, but I also don’t want to pretend that this appointment is only about vitamins, digestion, or the right menu for aging well.

There has been a split in me for a long time. A part of me living as consciousness, feeling, creativity, longing, and spiritual inquiry, and another part of me treating the body as something to manage, correct, apologize for, or drag along behind the more interesting inner work.

The Gene Keys have softened that split more than anything else I’ve worked with. Not by giving me another system to obey, but by helping me become more honest, patient, compassionate and willing to stay with what is actually happening inside me. Over time, that has helped the old disorder come into balance more and more.

Now, at 69, the question is changing. I’m not trying to conquer my body into health or become a morally superior wellness creature. That sounds exhausting, and frankly, not that fun to have lunch with. I’m trying to listen for what supports this season of my life.

My body isn’t a bad student. It isn’t a problem to be managed from above. It’s a living intelligence that has carried me through every single part of my life, including the years when I wasn’t very kind to it.

Radiance asks me to let my body back into the conversation, not treat it as the thing being corrected. It asks whether health can become a relationship instead of a control project. Regency adds another layer. Can I let my body have its own sovereignty, even while I invite help?

This is the threshold I feel myself standing at. Not obedience, not rebellion, not handing the crown to a doctor, and not snatching it back in fear. Something more mutual. Something more adult. Something that lets guidance come close while my own inner Regent stays seated.

The one-to-one nature of this appointment matters here. My Radiance is a Line 2, which means it comes alive through relationship, biofeedback, and honest exchange with someone or something that reflects life back to me. That can be art. It can be nature. It can be my marriage. And this week, apparently, it can also be a healing appointment.

I like thinking of the appointment that way. I’m not handing my body over to an expert, and I’m not arriving with a clipboard to prove how much I already know. I’m entering a one-to-one field where several kinds of intelligence can speak at once, which sounds fancy, but mostly means no one has to be on a throne.

The physician brings training and pattern recognition. My body brings symptoms, sensations, appetite, fatigue, preference, and history. My intuition brings resonance. My lived experience brings context. My Gene Keys contemplation brings the symbolic map. Ideally, they can all take their place in the circle.

That feels like Radiance as biofeedback rather than obedience. The physician doesn’t replace the body’s wisdom. At her best, she helps me hear it more clearly.

Then my Radiance Sage line enters, which makes me laugh because of course it is Irreverence (GK 40).

Without Irreverence, health can so easily become another holiness project. The doctor becomes the priest. The remedy becomes a sacred object. The protocol becomes proof that I’m finally becoming good, disciplined, purified, approved.

Let’s not make health wear a halo.

need the part of me that can laugh gently at wellness seriousness. I need the Holy Fool in the waiting room, filling out the intake form sincerely while side-eyeing any inner voice that tries to turn this into a moral ranking system.

Irreverence reminds me not to put the physician on a throne, the remedy on a pedestal, or my food choices into categories of saints and sinners. It also keeps me from refusing help just to prove I can’t be ruled. That isn’t freedom. That’s still letting the old wound call the shots.

From there, I can see another Gene Keys pattern beginning to wink at me from the corner.

In Attraction, the shadow field of Dominance says, “I must control the field to feel safe.” In Radiance, the shadow of Exhaustion says, “I must force my energy to make life happen.” They aren’t the same pattern, but they seem like cousins who probably argue next to each other at difficult family dinners. Both begin in mistrust. Dominance tries to manage the outer field. Exhaustion tries to override the inner field.

One says, “If I can control this, I will be safe.” The other says, “If I push harder, I will get there.” Neither one trusts the body, support, or the organic current of life when I stop gripping so hard.

Regency answers Dominance by restoring inner authority. Resolve answers Exhaustion by restoring the correct use of life force. One asks me to stop ruling the field. The other asks me to stop forcing the body.

Together, they bring me back to the simplest landing point. Health as relationship.

Not health as punishment. Not health as performance. Not health as a long list of rules that proves I’m finally being good. Health as relationship means listening. Adjusting without panic. Receiving support without surrendering my authority. Respecting rhythms. Noticing what feeds my energy and what quietly drains it. Letting my body have a say before my mind turns everything into a project plan with tabs.

Maybe this appointment has come close because my body is ready to be listened to differently. Maybe Radiance is asking for more honest partnership. Maybe Attraction is doing exactly what it does, bringing the next needed relationship into the field.

If there is a practice inside all of this, it is simple enough. I can notice where support is trying to come close without collapsing into it or pushing it away just to prove a point.

Maybe you have a place like this too — a relationship with your body, health, energy, food, rest, work, or need for help that has gotten tangled up with old ideas about control, obedience, rebellion, or worth. If so, maybe the invitation is not to fix it all at once, but to ask one gentler question.

Where is guidance trying to come close, and can I receive it without giving away my sovereignty?

That is what I’m taking with me into this appointment. A willingness to listen, a little more trust, and a body I am still learning how to befriend.

* The Radiance Sphere is part of the Gene Keys Golden Path journey and is where inner light becomes physical vitality, shaping health, energy, intuition, and the lived relationship we have with the body we move through the world in. My Key in this sphere is 40.2, the Shadow is Exhaustion, the Gift is Resolve and the Siddhi is Divine Will.

The Attraction Sphere is the relational field where life brings people, experiences, desires, and interruptions close, revealing what wakes up in us and how those arrivals can become part of our growth. Mine is Gene Key 45.5 and moves from the Shadow of Dominance to the Gift of Synergy and the Siddhi of Communion.
