A photograph of the sun shining through trees in Marridge Woods, the most gorgeous woodland full of wild garlic and bluebells in April. I love to wind through the woods to the next little bay along the coast ... Churston Cove, one of my favourite places!!

I am working with my Radiance sphere right now, and I thought that this would be a really good time to do a Wizardly Words on Wednesdays post about “Light”. The Gene Keys are all about light. You will find references to light in every single Gene Key, in every single sphere. There is a Codon of Light. The whole point of the Gene Keys (if you can even use such a trite turn of phrase for something as huge and life changing as the Gene Keys are!) is to break open the light contained inside your DNA.

Here’s how Richard Rudd describes it in his Gene Keys book

“Your DNA is a wormhole. It contains a code that, when activated, opens up to the core of the holographic universe. As such, the DNA molecule is really a transducer of light. The more open the wormhole is, the more light pours through it …. This is the highest role of the 64 Gene Keys … to illuminate your path towards this final glorious flowering – union with your own Divinity.”

(A transducer is a device that converts energy from one form to another.)

The Radiance Sphere

Pretty heady stuff! But what does that all mean on a practical level? The easiest way for me to explain how it is for me, is to talk about the Sphere of the Radiance.

I never knew, until I started doing this Gene Keys work, just what that means. In the twenty-five years of doing the inner work, before the Gene Keys came into my life, I explored many modalities, seeking answers, looking for fixes for my issues. I would read about light, I would listen to people talk about light workers, and I would think it was all a bit “woo woo”, a bit “out there”.

And I definitely would not think it held any relevance for me, especially when I was caught in the trap of victimhood. When I was in the dark places of pain and suffering, I couldn’t see any light inside myself. When I was in the thick of my struggles, I was afraid to believe there even was light, in case I never got to it.

But, with all the work I have done over the last three years of travelling my Gene Keys Golden Path over and over, of diving deeper and ever deeper into my interior world, I have found sources of light within me.

Overlaid is a quote from Richard Rudd: “You may wonder why and how we can have light locked away inside us. It may seem fantastical or even whimsical. The truth is that every form in the universe is made of light. The emptiness around the form is the darkness from which the form arises as light. The two principles belong to one another, constantly giving birth to each other and at the same time defining each other.”

Finding My Blazing Light

I have found the blazing light of self-love and self-acceptance; a supernova that burns in my chest, that I know now, can never be extinguished.

I have found the light of compassion; a pearlescent glow that grows, and soaks into my cells, making them glow with white, shining light.

I have found the twin beams of self-respect and self-esteem, which are like the torches either side of a great doorway into myself; a door I have been gradually pushing wider and wider, as I have gone deeper and deeper into this light within me.

And I have found the illumination of a mind that is so wide open that the pure white light of a burning sun pours out of it. This sunlight is my imagination, it is my thirst for self-knowledge, it is my desire to never, ever stop learning about myself.

I have to quote my wonderful friend and Gene Keys Guide, Hayley Curtis here …

This is an extract from the Radiance Activation Guided Meditation which Hayley created for her Devoted programme (a year-long deep dive I did with her in 2025), and which is now available to all members of Gene Keys Unleashed with Hayley Curtis. If you haven’t done this guided meditation yet … head over to “Exploring Your Profile”. Hayley has the most glorious meditations in there! And if you’re not a member of GKU … why not?!! 😂 It is the safest, most nourishing space on the internet. If you’re willing … check it out here … GKU.

But It’s Not Just My Radiance

This sunlight is my Dynamism, which is my Life’s Work and bold Brand Gift, that burns white hot, cutting through the morass of blockages, to let light stream from me like a river.

Oh, I do feel rather bold making such an assertion! I can almost hear my mother’s voice, “Stop showing off, Elizabeth!”, one of her tropes when I was child, and I was bursting with this light naturally. I was exuberant, wild, and burning bright.

But here’s the thing … once you catch a glimpse of your own light, even if it’s just a glimmer through a tear in the fabric of your feelings of inadequacy and lack of self-belief, you cannot unsee it!

You know it’s there.

And you have simply got to keep on working, digging, delving into your interior world, because you want more! You’ve had a taste of the elixir of your own light, and you’re on fucking fire, and you want to imbibe more.

The Self-Fulfilling Prophesy of Light

Your inner light becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy … the more you drink from it, the more there is available to you. Like the never-ending porridge pot in the fairytale; the flow of light from within you is infinite. And unlike that unruly porridge, being drenched by your own light isn’t going to drown you … no! It is going to buoy you up. It’s going to sustain you, even when the outer world goes dark and you are assailed by pain and suffering.

Everything is easier, all can be borne, because you know that within you is a fathomless chalice, pouring out light. Even when your energy is low, depleted by the demands of your external life, the fire of your light never dims, it never burns out. It is an eternal flame.

You may step out of rhythm, with yourself, with life, with Gaia, but you can always gently come back to your inner light.

It is always there, even if you can’t see it.

Inner Harmony … Outward Light

There’s a great quote in the Sage’s Golden Path Retreat about the Radiance Sphere …

This work with my Radiance is where I have to lean heavily on trust. I can think all these glorious light-filled thoughts; I can feel light bursting in my cells and flowing through my veins; but I can also feel physically exhausted, worn out and overwhelmed.

I have to trust that I can hold both states simultaneously.

Being tired, feeling overwhelmed and exhausted does not diminish my inner light.

And I have to trust that even when I physically feel a lack of vitality and energy, when my body aches and I am weary, that the light still burns inside me. If I can come into harmony and hold all states equally, then my light will shine, even in my tiredness.

Richard Rudd has often been asked, “what is the most magical Gene Key?”. His answer … whatever Gene Key you have in the Radiance sphere!! Because this light IS magical!!

Gene Key 11 … Obscurity – Idealism – Light

I can’t talk about “light” without talking about Gene Key 11. Gene Key 11 has the Siddhi of Light. It’s a beautiful Gene Key, which seems to weave its way in and out of my life. It’s the Programming Partner of both my IQ and Relating spheres. It’s my husband’s Evolution, it was my dad’s Life’s Work, and my mum’s Pearl. (Plus my best friend, Meghan, has been dreaming about Polar Bears this week … the Dream Arc animal for GK11!! 🐻‍❄️) … So, this Gene Key of Light shines through my chart and my relationships.

I love this beautiful quote from Richard Rudd. It’s from a video called “Ring of Light Reverie”. It’s such a cool video, he’s actually sitting in dappled sunlight in the branches of a tree (how very Richardesque!!). He talks in the video about how Gene Key 5, 9, 11 and 26 weave a living tapestry of illumination in the world, and I just love this quote about Gene Key 11, which he describes as “the key of light”…

A photograph of icy clouds and sunset over Wexcombe. Overlaid with a quote from Richard Rudd: Gene Key 11, which is the Key of Light, the idealism, the Gift of Idealism, the ideal of light. Light is a living ideal. Light is life. Life is light. Love is light. The ideal is love. Life is the ideal.

You can watch the video here.

It’s What I’m Here To Do!

This is what I am here to do.

To shine.

To bring my light.

To write my story in light.

To show people that even when we are beaten down by life’s circumstances, we can still shine, because no amount of darkness in the outside world can extinguish the light which we are innately born with.

I think of the people making art in war-torn countries, of the children playing ball in the rubble, of the millions of people smiling right now, in this moment.

We can choose to keep our light burning.

I do choose to keep my light shining.

I live a privileged life, here in my little, safe corner of the world, a life full of love and joy, of friendship and creativity. I have a duty to keep my light shining. I have a duty to be a lighthouse, a beacon, a torchbearer in the darkness.

No matter the level of my vitality or energy, no matter how tired or overwhelmed I might sometimes feel, I have a responsibility to keep shining my light.
